How it works

From dock to first spin in thirty seconds

No setup screen, no import wizard. The wheel lives on the same board as everything else — here's the whole routine.

1

Open the dock and tap Name Picker

Drop it anywhere on the board, then add your names — type them in or paste the whole class at once.

2

Choose wheel or slot machine

Spin a colour wheel or roll a slot-machine reel. Both come with sounds, confetti and a suspense setting.

Spin

The winner lands front and centre. With remove-after-pick on, they're out of the pool until everyone's been up.

Classroom ideas

More than cold-calling

Three ways teachers actually use the wheel — beyond picking who answers question four.

Classroom jobs, renewed weekly

Monday morning: one spin per job. Remove-after-pick keeps it fair, and 'line leader' stops being a negotiation.

Story builder

Spin a name, they add one sentence to the class story, spin again. The wheel keeps everyone listening.

Load it with rewards

Fill the wheel with prizes — extra recess, teacher reads in a silly voice — and let Friday's champion spin it.

Fair by design

Nobody argues with the wheel.

The fairness isn't a vibe — it's settings. The wheel remembers who's been up, keeps quiet exceptions quiet, and resets the moment you need it to.

  • Remove-after-pick — no repeats until everyone's had a turn
  • Exclude a student quietly, without deleting them
  • Names save with the board — set it up once, spin all year

"The wheel ended the 'you always pick the same people' complaints on day one. Remove-after-pick might be the fairest thing in my room."

Pairs well with

Every tool lives on the same board — these four turn the wheel into a whole routine.

Group Maker

The wheel picks a student; the shuffler builds the teams — keep-apart pairs respected on every shuffle.

Timer

The wheel picks who's up; the timer keeps the turn snappy — thirty seconds, big on the screen.

Scoreboard

Whoever the wheel picks can win points for their whole table — suddenly everyone wants their name up.

Dice

Spin for who, roll for what — a name and a challenge number make an instant warm-up game.

FAQ

Good to know

Can it avoid picking the same student twice?

Yes — remove-after-pick takes each winner out of the pool until the list is used up, then you reset with one tap.

Wheel or slot machine?

Your call. The wheel spins with a satisfying tick; the slot machine rolls to a stop. Swap styles any time in settings.

Can I make the suspense last longer?

Yes — set the spin time, or turn on slow spin for maximum drama. Sounds and confetti are toggles too.

Can I keep certain students out of a spin?

Yes — exclude anyone from the pool without deleting them. Handy when someone's away or already had a big job today.

Do I need an account to try it?

No — no login, no install. Your names and board save on this device; an account is only for keeping boards across devices.
